What’s Happening at the Library Weekly Event Update

Block Party for toddlers and preschoolers is Tuesday, January 16th at 10:30 with Alicia Criswell of Purdue Extension.  Mother Goose on the Loose will meet at 10:30 on the following two Tuesdays, January 23rd and January 30th.  Participants will enjoy brain-building learning activities, movement, fun, rhymes, and songs.  No pre-registration is required.

The art of Kate Wallace, a junior at Lincoln High School, is on display at the library this month.  Wallace’s pieces cover a wide range of subject matter, but all pieces display a skill and technique remarkable for such a young artist.  Library Assistant Beth Gwin remembers that Kate was extraordinarily gifted when she was a third grader in Mrs. Gwin's class.

Our evening book club this month is reading "Before We Were Yours" by Lisa Wingate, and they are meeting on Tuesday, January 16th at 6:30 p.m.  The morning book club is reading "If the Creek Don't Rise" by Leah Wise and they are meeting on Monday, January 22nd.  Pick up your copies at the front desk.
